Legal Advocacy: Beyond the Basics

At this training you will learn about legislative changes to restraining orders, including firearms surrender, and other important areas of the law.  We will address questions such as, “What are the ramifications if a victim leaves the state with her children?”  “What is the role of—and how do I work with—the Guardian ad Litem?”  This training assumes a basic understanding of restraining orders and the family law process in Wisconsin.  If you are new to legal advocacy we recommend that prior to attending this training, you listen to the following recorded webinars:
