DAIS is the leading provider of domestic violence intervention and prevention services in Dane County. Founded in 1977, DAIS has grown from its humble beginnings of five volunteers working out of a church basement, to an organization of close to 30 full-time staff, numerous part-time staff, and over 130 volunteers providing comprehensive prevention and intervention programming to thousands of Dane County residents each year. The organization is on the cusp of substantial growth in programming and the required staff and volunteer corps to support that programming. Additionally, the organization is in the midst of constructing a new facility slated to open in the summer of 2014.
 
DAIS is seeking a full time Law Enforcement Advocate Partnership Crisis Response Advocate (LEAP CRA) to join our growing team. The LEAP CRA is responsible for providing phone and in-person support and advocacy services to victims of domestic violence referred through law enforcement partners. This position is also responsible for developing and coordinating the partnership between DAIS and law enforcement partners.
 
A successful candidate will have experience in providing direct services to victims of domestic violence, maintaining relationships with community partnerships, and experiencing collaborating with law enforcement. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a four-year degree in human services related field though relative experience may be substituted for a degree.
