Sexual Assault Prevention Educator/Advocate
Employer:
Manitowoc County Domestic Violence Center Sexual Assault Prevention Educator/Advocate
Responsible for community education, training and prevention education on sexual abuse/sexual assault and healthy relationships in the schools, civic organizations, and human service organizations. Assist in the development of educational and promotional materials.
Provides direct client services, including crisis counseling, information and referral, crime victim compensation application, follow-up, emergency legal advocacy, peer support groups, criminal justice and medical system support and advocacy for sexual assault/abuse victims.
Bachelor’s Degree in social services, psychology, communications, or human relations.
One year experience working in prevention/community education or teaching required
Prior experience working with sexual assault victims a plus. One year working with individuals in crisis.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule
30 to 32 hours per week, may become full time (40 hours/wk) in January
$11.25 to $12.50 per hour. – Health Insurance, Vacation & Sick Time, Flexible Spending, Retirement
